Scott Bradford: Off on a Tangent

Nor Dust

It’s the way that you lie
It’s the way that you live
It’s the way that you judge
It’s the gift that you give
It’s the life that you seek
It’s the home that you miss
It’s the jokes that you tell
And it’s got you so pissed

So tell it to me slow

Can’t cut it
Can’t cut this mid-speed city life
Can’t cut it
No matter how you do, it ain’t right

It’s the way that you hate
It’s the way you despise
It’s the way you mislead
It’s the way you’re unwise
It’s the falsehoods you spread
It’s the food that you eat
It’s the hobbies you tend
It’s the word on the street

So tell it to me slow

Can’t cut it
Can’t cut this mid-speed city life
Can’t cut it
No matter how you do, it ain’t right

It’s a justice in honor
It’s a freedom in life
It’s a glory in loving
It’s a value in right
It’s the way that you thrive
In dollar-masked lust
Yet are worth little more
Than ashes or dust

Scott Bradford has been building web sites and using them to say what he thinks since 1995, which tended to get him in trouble with power-tripping assistant principals at the time. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Public Administration from George Mason University, but has spent most of his career (so far) working on public- and private-sector web sites. He is not a member of any political party, and brands himself an ‘independent constitutional conservative.’ In addition to holding down a day job and blogging about challenging subjects like politics, religion, and technology, Scott is also a devout Catholic, gun-owner, bike rider, and music lover with a wife and two cats.
