House & Moving Update

As promised, here is a little update. Things are going reasonably well so far. We settled/closed on the house on Friday and we are now officially homeowners. That’s pretty strange to me still. On Friday we did a big Home Depot run to get a bunch of stuff we needed for the house. On Saturday, we had the blinds and security system installed and moved some of our important stuff. On Sunday we went to mass, had lunch with the family, and did another ‘important stuff’ run.

Today I’m sitting at the house waiting for the Verizon FIOS guy to show up (any time between 8am and noon . . . sigh) while Melissa is at the apartment supervising the movers, who I’m told just showed up to get packing. Today is packing day and tomorrow is moving day.

That’s it for now. Here are a few pictures of the final product that I’ve taken over the last several days. There’s no rhyme or reason to them, though they are in chronological order of when I took them.
