Links Database

Here are a bunch of pages that I find useful, informative, or thought provoking. Note that a link here is not necessarily an endorsement. I read plenty of sites, especially political sites, which represent differing views from my own.

I am working on reorganizing and cleaning up the links database.

Until I’m done, things may be weird and disorganized. Bear with me.

Categories

  • Church & Religion
Links relating to faith and spirituality, mainly Catholic Christian but also key works from other faiths. The Catholic Church is the “one, holy, catholic, and apostolic church” of the creed. It was established by Christ and is led by successors of Peter under Holy Spirit’s protection.
  • Humor & Satire
Do you like to laugh? Of course not. Nobody does. But if you’re considering laughing anyway, some of the links in this section might be able to help. This section includes funny comics, satire websites, and a bunch of other stuff that I find amusing.
  • Language & Writing
A catalog of links relating to language and writing. References in this section include numerous dictionaries, thesauruses, style and usage guides, and more. Also included are dictionaries of quotations and related resources.
  • Law & Government
Links and resources relating to government and law including “freedom indices,” general resources, and locality-specific resources for the United States of America; the Commonwealth of Virginia; Loudoun County, Virginia; and the South Riding community.
  • Maps & Navigation
  • Miscellaneous Interests
  • News & Media
Links to general news outlets, aggregators, and wire services that cover local, national, international, and business news, along with services that analyze the media and media bias. (Topic-specific news sources are listed on their topic pages; this section is mainly for ‘general’ news.)
  • Politics & Elections
  • Products, Services, Retail
  • Reference & Learning
  • Software & Technology
