Category: Political Endorsements
Most legitimate news outlets have the good sense and decency to clearly endorse the political candidates that most closely align with their editorial slant, thus making it crystal clear to the readers where they stand on the political spectrum. I do the same. As a general matter of policy, I make formal endorsements only in elections in which I am eligible to vote. In Virginia’s major party primaries, I make briefer recommendations to the members of those parties. I also make brief recommendations in some races outside my own districts for who are eligible to vote in those elections.
