So it occurred to me as I was playing with the site yesterday that my last ‘Life’ entry was twelve days ago. So here’s a new one ;-).

The thing is that there aren’t a lot of new developments in the life area. Since Melissa’s been quite busy with her senior thesis project, much of the wedding planning has been on hold. Outside of that, I’ve just been trucking along with my regular activities—working, writing, poetry-organizing, churching, eating, and sleeping (although I do still have some of that pesky wedding stuff going on too).

Mambo 4.5.2 Upgrade; RSS Fix

I installed the 4.5.2 upgrade to the Mambo content management system today, which resulted in some downtime this afternoon. Most of the fixes in this upgrade aren’t of any note to the end-user, but there are a lot of improvements in the administrative interface that I use to post.

Wrong Ideas on Traffic Cameras

I live near the intersection of Chain Bridge Road (route 123) and Eaton Place in Fairfax, Virginia. This particular intersection—which I pass through often—is somewhat dangerous and confusing. One complex set of signals controls traffic coming from literally five separate roads. Not only that, but much of the traffic heading south on 123 has just exited off of Interstate 66 and is still moving at near-freeway speeds.
